Gemini Letters with LED Illumination

J&J Cycle is a sign that is particularly effective. The owners of J&J purchased the old Blockbuster location at the corners of Bath and Days Road in Kingston. The original store had been in a rental property one block behind and did not have the exposure that helps a business grow. CitySigns Kingston did the removal of all the Blockbuster branding with the help of our bucket truck and trailers. What was left was a cube of a buiding with no outstanding features.

Working closely with the owners CitySigns Kingston came up with the use of custom Gemini letters that matched the company logo but added some 3 dimensional punch to their signs. The formed plastic letters are back-lit by green and white LED technology, that's not only low cost, but low power consumption as well. In order to make the green J&J part of the sign stand out on the brick during the daylight hours, we routed the letter shapes out of white Alu-Panel and used that as a background material. The white outline increases the contrast against the tan colored brick and increases the glow after dark.
